Civics-Inspired Improv Comedy

For the first time ever, The Theater of Public Policy is doing an entire season in Minnesota’s capital city, St. Paul. Every Tuesday in July, Minnesota’s favorite, most-successful, and coincidentally only civics-inspired improv comedy troupe will talk with policymakers, city leaders, and one hilarious baseball guy.

But what is The Theater of Public Policy (T2P2)?
• Shows open with a lively conversation with a newsmaker or policy wonk.
• That conversation inspires a team of Minnesota’s most talented improvisers, who create entirely spontaneous sketches based on the interview.
• The expert guest then answers questions from the audience.
• The show wraps with one last round of improv from the cast.
Described “As if C-SPAN were suddenly swarmed by the cast of SNL,” The Theater of Public Policy has garnered national media attention and local fans for its unique blend of serious issues and improv comedy.
Five unique shows tackling five different issues, debates, and ideas. Each one will be brought to life by T2P2’s smart, diverse, hilarious cast of improvisers.
