THE PLAYFUL PEACOCK ACADEMY, the first school of its kind in the Twin Cities, was founded by Ophelia Flame and Gina Louise. Ophelia and Gina have been performing together since 2003 and teaching burlesque workshops since 2005. The belief that there’s a bit of showgirl in all of us is the drive behind their mission: to teach burlesque technique, performance, and history while encouraging self-expression and body confidence in a fun environment, welcoming students of all levels and backgrounds.
