Northern Darling is a Minneapolis-based indie-pop band with a unique musical sound that combines sultry vocal and guitar work complemented by an amplified bassoon, upright bass, and drums.  Northern Darling brings a rich set of creative and musical talents to both its original songs and its interpretations of standards. Song forms, rhythms and harmonies are infused with rock, blues, jazz, latin and even a bit of country. Emily Davis, a talented jazz vocalist, will be opening the show her music music includes a variety of styles, including swing, blues, and bossa novas.
