POETRY SLAM RULES: There will be 3 rounds for this poetry slam. Poets should have two 3 minute poems and one 1 minute poem prepared to compete. All poems are allowed a 10 second grace period. Once a poet has performed more than 10 seconds over the time limit, points will be deducted from their final score (.5 points for every 10 seconds). TIME STARTS AS SOON AS THE POET ADDRESSES THE AUDIENCE! No props allowed and all work performed must be the artist’s own. Breaking either of these two rules will lead to disqualification.
