After a decade of backing up other folk/indie songwriters, Jimmy is going solo, revisiting old tunes and redefining their meaning and releasing new music as well. In the spring of 2022, before his son was born, Jimmy picked up his 20-year old Taylor acoustic guitar with the intention of releasing an EP. Jimmy tracked and mixed every instrument himself in his basement. Before it could be completed, the baby had other plans and came early. In early 2023, finishing touches were made to Stargazing Days, the first EP of solo music Jimmy has released since 2011.
