POSTPONED: Hocico – Spider Bites Tour 2018, Absynthe of Faith, F.T.C., DJ Fenris

Tuesday, May 22

8PM Doors ✖ Hall ✖ $25 ADV/$30 DOS ✖ +21

he Hocico show originally scheduled for May 22, 2018 has been postponed due to delays with the band’s visa process. We are currently working with Hocico’s team and the venue to re-schedule. As soon as we have a new date set, we’ll let everyone know here and on our social sites.

Because we do not yet have a new date set, all pre-sale tickets for the 5/22 Minnesota date will be refunded and those tickets will not be valid for the re-scheduled date.

How do I get a refund?

  • If you purchased online through TicketFly, you’ll be automatically refunded by the end of this week.
  • If you purchased paper tickets in person at Amsterdam or a ticket outlet, stop by Amsterdam with your ticket to receive a refund at the main bar.

Will I need to buy a new ticket for the new date?
Yes. Once tickets go on sale for the new date, you’ll need to purchase a new ticket for the re-scheduled date.

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, but we felt it was the best course of action to issue refunds right away and start fresh when we have a new date.

Here’s the official statement from Hocico. Note that because we’re issuing refunds to everyone now, tickets originally purchased for 5/22 will not be valid for the new Minnesota date, and this differs from the band’s statement.

Dear Hocicones in the USA, We are sorry to inform you that our visa process has been delayed therefore we can’t play the shows planned for May 2018.

Our work permits/Visas to enter the US have been put on hold, they keep asking for extra documents and we are not sure if they will be ready on time for the tour dates in May.

The process for obtaining the permits have become tougher for all musicians and unfortunately we have to postpone and re-schedule such dates.

We are already in contact with all the promoters and we are working to re-schedule the dates for a later point this year, no worries, if you already have tickets for a show they will be valid for the next date in your city! We deeply apologize for the inconveniences this might have caused any of you and we hope you all understand the situation. We will have more news soon and we look forward to seeing you very soon!!

Sincerely Pure Underground, Erk and Racso

Thanks everyone for understanding, and for your continued support of independent music.

The Mexican Erk Aicrag (lyrics & vocals) and Racso Agroyam (programming) two angry survivors of the physical and mental violence rising daily on the streets of Mexico City, founded the electro band “Hocico”in 1993.

A spider with six legs, which has a H on its back, is the symbol of the both cousins who share their musical experiences and interests from their childhood. With a Yamaha keyboard Racso began at the age of 15 to experiment.

The correct pronunciation of the name is: “Osziko”. That means mouth or jaws. “Hocico” is a pretty aggressive word. In Mexico it has an offending affect, it’s a swearword, like a kind of attack.

“We won’t change something or someone. The people should find out alone. We only want to show our personal point of view. If they agree, good, if not, it’s good too. It’s better if people think about that themselves.” HOCICO
