After dropping a new collection of songs ‘theskyisfalling’ this October, Heiruspecs is ready to celebrate the holidays with their annual Holiday Classic. Does this mean Heiruspecs is playing Christmas Carols? Shit no. But, maybe we’ll use sleigh bells instead of hi-hats for a song or two. The real news for this show is the incredibly eclectic line-up and it kicking off the start of Heiruspecs’ celebration of 20 years of existence (97-17).

DJ Keezy will be opening up the show and spinning between all bands and for a bit after Heiruspecs. Many folks will recognize DJ Keezy’s name as a frequent collaborator with B. Dot Croc and as in demand club DJ around the Twin Cities. She has an incredible ear in a number of genres and she puts up some of the most creative blends and mixes in the Twin Cities. Heiruspecs is beyond excited to have her on the bill.

Destiny Roberts is stepping up first. This fellow Central H.S. alum put on a powerful and mesmerizing performance at the #CentralforPhilando Scholarship Fund Concert. Destiny is exactly what her name is. Hip-hop & neo-soul influenced, she has an old school vibe with a new school feel to it. A deadly combination of beauty, lyrics and production, she truly is a beauty and a beast.

Alpha Consumer is stepping up in the middle of the bill. It’s a bit of a rarity to get these in demand musicians for groups as diverse as The Pines, Bon Iver, The Suburbs, Pieta Brown and more to free up a night for their own projects, and Heiruspecs is glad the calendars matched up to make this work.

Heiruspecs will be rounding out the night playing tunes from their catalog and reaching out to some friends for exciting cameo appearances. The group is also excited to bring this great lineup of music to one of the best venues in the Twin Cities, the Amsterdam Bar and Hall.
