“Music Class” w. Cait Leary and Zach Gruszinski, Geoffrey Fischbein

9PM ✖ Bar ✖ Free ✖ 21+

Cait Leary and Zach Gruszinski: Minneapolis singer/songwriter Cait Leary just released her debut album, “Let Me Have Tonight,” recorded and co-produced with Grammy Award Winner Brett Huus (Bill Miller, Michael Martin Murphey). Leary is a musical hybrid; poppy without the lyrical cliches, jazzy without the training, and sweet with a preference for profanity.

Geoffrey Fischbein: I started with a guitar after high school I was almost 18 and within a year I was playing an unbelievable weekly show at the Bon Appetit in Dinkytown MN opening up for Pleasure Pause every monday night. My repertoire grew from 2 or 3 songs to around 60 the show at the Bon went on for just about 2 years and was an amazing experience most solo artists probably never get so I feel lucky but not satisfied. then some things went on and I’m 26 starting a band in Minneapolis with Ben Berg called Humanboy which took form as Brienne Harthun joined the group and soon after Ryan Guanzon and there we were, the music world felt like it rotated around us and we all wanted it but I for one took myself and music too seriously and soon this gigantic unbreakable beast turned to the fragile entity that shattered in 2008 not long after our CD Release “I’m no good at this”c2007.
