Somewhere between the edge of rock, artistry of jazz and the infectious groove of funk, lies MIDLIFE, an all-instrumental band based in Minneapolis. Comprised of four very accomplished musicians (Karl Koopmann – Guitar; Stu Nankin – Bass; Doug Grimm – Keys; and Christian Nesheim – Drums), each band member has over 20 years of experience in the music industry. In its two years of existence, MIDLIFE has been blowing the minds of both staff and patrons at local venues, and has consistently proven that people can be well entertained by a band that doesn’t rely on banter, visual aesthetics and gimmicks, or the presentation of familiar hits and classics (as typically played by most other groups) The band’s energetically performed and uniquely chosen music, by itself, provides a very positive atmosphere that enhances the enjoyment of food, drink and time with friends.
